What's the difference between a swing gate and a slide gate?

Swing gates open inward or outward on hinges — the most common option for driveways with adequate clearance. Slide gates roll sideways along a track and are better suited for driveways where swing clearance is limited by grade, landscaping, or proximity to the street.

What material do you use for estate gates?

We use ornamental welded steel — the same material as our ornamental fencing panels. It’s stronger than aluminium, doesn’t need painting, and holds up well through Manitoba’s freeze-thaw seasons.

Can estate gates be automated?

We install the gate and post infrastructure. Gate automation (openers, keypads, intercoms) can be added by an automation specialist after installation. We’ll ensure the gate is compatible with standard automation systems.

Do you install gates as a standalone project?

Does a sloped driveway affect gate installation?

Yes — sloped driveways require racked panels or careful gate sizing so the gate swings freely without dragging. We assess this on-site during your estimate and specify the correct configuration.
